i think, that comics have low colors (as I know print process)+printed raster - decrease colors in tiff to 256 or less (try and see) - obtain less color noise - as a result get good djvu with arcand profile.
You can use scanned (300 dpi) profile w/bg quality 2. If some noise from scanner and print machine will be blurred do not be sade - you lost the NOISE.
Or your scan the exact copy of Rafael's "Madonna" for storing on centuries for next generations?
